Chad, the Health and Safety Administrator at Walsingham Support

We’re currently in the midst of the biggest vaccination programme in the history of healthcare. Not only this, but there is strong pressure from the dangers of COVID to complete it at an accelerated pace. In fact, the vaccines started 8th December and by 10th January, over 2.3 million had already received it across the UK.

Walsingham Support, a charity which supports adults with learning disabilities and autism, are using Radar Healthcare’s software to help roll out the vaccine across their sites in England and South Wales. We caught up with Chad, the Health and Safety Administrator, to find out how it’s going.

Rolling out the vaccine

Chad explained how Walsingham Support are using Radar Healthcare’s Events functionality to log COVID vaccinations in the charity. This means they can keep track of who has been covered and when. Especially helpful when the second dose is rolled out, these events ensure the vaccine is given to people at the right time.

“Using Events is already proving really useful, both in tracking the amount of people vaccinated, as well as being able to see how many people are experiencing side effects. Tracking vaccinations this way will also help us gain a complete overview of the rollout of the vaccination within Walsingham Support both locally, regionally and nationally, and the benefit of protection this will bring to our services.”

Being the Health and Safety Administrator, part of Chad’s role is to pull reports from our software. This enables them to see any overdue actions or audits, and ensure they are keeping on top of their day-to-day quality and compliance processes.

“Radar Healthcare has allowed us to run reports for the national vaccination programme, helping us keep the people we support and our staff safe.”

Coping with COVID

We spoke to Adam at Walsingham Support previously for their case study, and covered how they are using Radar Healthcare to help cope with COVID. Setting up a COVID specific event in just 2 hours with the help of our team, they could keep on top with COVID testing and results, as well as any concerns such as staff members isolating.
