Celebrating the 2021 Winners
🥇1st Place: Remilekun Oladunni, nominated by Kemi Madumere Remilekun Oladunni, a Team Leader supporting men with learning disabilities, was honored for her unwavering dedication and compassion, especially during the pandemic. She has found innovative ways to support these men, helping them achieve their goals and develop healthy habits. Remi’s commitment to her work, regardless of personal challenges, and her ability to lead by example have made a significant impact on those she cares for and her team.
🥈2nd Place: Lauren & Chloe Kelly, nominated by Julie Cordner Lauren and Chloe Kelly, Care Assistants from Connected Health, moved in with a client who tested positive for COVID-19 to ensure continuity of care and protect their colleagues. Their selfless actions, including managing a medical emergency during their stay, have been widely recognised. Their dedication to their client’s well-being exemplifies true heroism and commitment to care.
🥉3rd Place: Mary Shortman, nominated by Karin Brownlie Mary Shortman, a Care Assistant at Frenchay House, has dedicated 34 years to the care sector, working three 8-hour shifts per week even as she approaches her 80th birthday. Mary’s deep knowledge of the facility, unwavering work ethic, and compassionate care have made her an invaluable member of the team. Her inspirational career and continuous dedication to her work make her a deserving recipient of the Hero Award.
